Kevin Gregory
Interim Chief Executive Officer
Kevin is Interim Chief Executive Officer. Kevin joined LGIM in 2002 after spending two years as Chief Executive at Orbitex Investments Limited. Kevin has also held a variety of senior roles at HSBC Asset Management, Mountleigh Group Plc and Burton Group Plc.
Kevin is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has a BSc (Eng) in Metallurgical Engineering from Imperial College. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
Mike Craston
Managing Director (Institutional Business)
Mike is Managing Director (Institutional Business). He has overall responsibility for LGIM's pension fund investment services and product development. Mike joined LGIM in 2004 and prior to this, worked with Aegon Asset Management as Director of Institutional Business and with Scottish Equitable Asset Management, initially, as an investment sales manager and subsequently as the director of Sales and Marketing. Mike has also previously worked with Schroder Investment Management, Standard Life and Guardian Royal Exchange.
Ali Toutounchi
Managing Director (Index Funds)
Ali is Managing Director - Index Funds and also Fund Director for a number of our major clients. Ali joined LGIM in 1995 from NatWest Securities, where he spent four years leading the Global Programme Trading Unit. Prior to this, Ali spent three years as Assistant Director of Index Funds at UBS Asset Management and four years as a Senior Quantitative Analyst at Wood Mackenzie Stockbrokers. Ali holds a first class honours degree in Economics & Statistics from University College, London, and a Ph.D. in Stochastic Models of Investment from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. Ali is a member of the FTSE Europe/Middle East/Africa Regional Committee.
Neil Higgins
Corporate Development Director (Institutional Business)
Neil is Corporate Development Director which is a role to which he was appointed in early 2010. In this new role, Neil will be responsible for project managing the increasing number of complex transitions and restructurings now being undertaken by the business, largely associated with Liability Driven Investment mandates.
Neil joined LGIM in 1986 having had previous roles with Legal & General's actuarial pensions department and Legal & General International providing actuarial support to Legal & General Zimbabwe. Initially, he was a member of the active Fixed Income Team and was responsible for all aspects of cash management, including foreign exchange and futures and options dealing. Neil then transferred to the Index Funds team in 1995 and took responsibility for all Bond Index Funds while overseeing the successful extension of LGIM’s range of pooled Bond products. In 2002 Neil was additionally appointed as Head of the Client Restructuring Team which was responsible for all aspects of the project management for each transition exercise undertaken by LGIM.
Neil graduated with a Mathematics degree from Essex University. Neil is a founding member and Deputy Chairman of the FTSE Bond Indices Committee which oversees the FTSE Actuaries Gilts Indices.
Roger Bartley
Head of Active Fixed Income
Roger is Head of Active Fixed Income and is responsible for overseeing the operation of the active fixed income and allocation teams in London and Chicago. Roger joined LGIM in 2006 from Gartmore Investment Management where he was Chief Investment Officer, Fixed Income. Prior to Gartmore, he was at Chase Investors as Head of Global Fixed Income and Deutsche Bank Capital Management (UK) as Chief Investment Officer, Fixed Income.
Roger graduated from the London School of Economics with a Masters degree in Economics.
Mark Burgess
Head of Active Equities
Mark is Head of Active Equities and is responsible for LGIM’s range of actively managed equities funds. He is also responsible for LGIM's Corporate Governance effort. Mark joined in 2003, from Deutsche Asset Management where he was Head of UK Equity and Balanced Products having joined Morgan Grenfell Asset Management in 1990 as a UK Fund manager. Mark started his investment career at Refuge assurance. Mark graduated from Keele University in 1986 with a degree in Philosophy and Economics.
Bill Hughes
Managing Director (Property)
Bill Hughes is Managing Director of Legal & General Property (LGP). He has overall responsibility for LGP which has funds under management of £13.2 billion (as at end September 2007). Bill joined LGP in November 2007 having previously held the position of UK Head of Real Estate at RREEF, the Real Estate Fund Management business of Deutsche Bank. Prior to that Bill was Deputy Managing Director and Head of Research at Schroder Property Investment Management. This followed positions at DTZ Research and JLW Fund Management Strategy.
Bill is an Associate of the Society of Investment Professionals, having passed the Institute of Investment Management and Research exams. He is also a member of the Investment Property Databank Consultative Committee, and a member of the Investment Property Forum Working Party on Global Investment Performance Standards. Bill has recently accepted the Vice Chairmanship of the Association of Real Estate Fund (AREF) and membership of the Advisory Editorial Board of Property Week.
Ivan Heywood
Chief Executive (LGV)
Ivan is Chief Executive of LGV,
LGIM's private equity business. He joined LGV in
1990 from the corporate finance division of Price
Waterhouse and has been actively involved with many
investments since then. Ivan graduated from Clare
College, Cambridge in 1985 with a degree in
Mathematics. Andrew Overy
Finance Director
Andrew is Finance Director of Legal & General Investment Management (Holdings) Limited. He joined LGIM in 1997 as Investment Group Financial Controller and held several other senior positions within the finance department before being appointed to his current position in 2003.
Andrew has over 13 years experience in Investment Management, previously working at AMP Asset Management. Andrew is a Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and has a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Loughborough University.
