Institutional Shareholders’ Committee (ISC)

ISC to provide a forum for its member’s
organisations to discuss and agree matters.

Reporting Council (FRC)

The FRC is
responsible for promoting high standards of
corporate governance. The aim is to maintain an
effective Combined Code on Corporate Governance
and promote its widespread application. It also
aims to ensure the related guidance, such as
that of internal control is current and
relevant, influence the EU and global corporate
governance development and promote boardroom
professionalism.

FTSE4Good
|
FTSE
International launched the FTSE4Good Index
series for socially responsible investment. The
series was designed with the support of UNICEF,
the United Nations Children’s Fund, and use of
data provided by ERIS, the Ethical Investment
Research Service. The FTSE4Good Advisory
Committee is responsible for the management of
the FTSE4Good selection criteria and for
undertaking the review of all FTSE4Good
Indices. All of the FTSE4Good revenue goes to UNICEF.

National
Association of Pension Fund (NAPF)
|
The NAPF
has been involved in corporate governance
within the UK for over 20 years.
The NAPF have a Corporate Governance Policy which is reviewed by members and updated regularly and is based on the provision of the Combined Code. The policy aims to protect the interests of its members as shareholders and to provide guidance to companies.
The NAPF regularly engages with, and is consulted by, companies on corporate governance matters such as board structures and executive remuneration. It has also established a Case Committee to lobby for change at a company which is seen to be underperforming.

| UK Social Investment Forum (UKSIF) | LGIM has been a member of the UK Social Investment Forum (UKSIF) since 2004. UKSIF is the UK’s membership network for Socially Responsible Investment (SRI). UKSIF’s primary purpose is to promote and encourage the development and positive impact of SRI among UK-based investors. UKSIF has more than two hundred members and affiliates including retail and institutional fund managers, investment consultants, pension funds, investment banks, financial advisers, SRI research providers, trade unions, banks and non-governmental organisations. |

Recommendations and Electronic Voting (RREV)

RREV is a joint venture with the NAPF. RREV offers a number of corporate governance and electronic voting services designed specifically to meet the needs of investment managers and pension funds. |
