The Bracknell Regeneration Partnership (BRP) was established in 2003 as a 50/50 joint venture vehicle between Legal & General's Life Fund and SEPUT (Schroder Exempt Property Unit Trust).
The Partnership's objective is to deliver
a comprehensive mixed-use regeneration of
Bracknell town centre designed to create a
vibrant destination of choice for the people of
Bracknell in the twenty first century.
In December 2006 the Partnership received
planning consent for the £1bn project from
Bracknell's Planning and Highways Committee with
a unanimous approval.
The regeneration of the town centre will include:-
- 56,000 sqm of new retail space
- 15,000 sqm of new bars, cafes, restaurants, leisure and entertainment facilities
- 1,000 new homes
- 3,500 new car parking spaces
- 63,000 sqm of new/replacement offices
Also included are replacement civic facilities with a public library, police station, magistrates court, a new health centre and significant transport improvements.
