The Life Fund is a £2.2bn (as at end December 2009) portfolio of property held for the Legal and General Assurance Society, a subsidiary of Legal and General Group.
The assets of this Fund are used to back the liabilities of the Long Term Insurance Fund.
The Fund invests in UK freehold and leasehold property including offices, shopping centres, high street shops, retail warehouses, industrial and distribution units and farmland. The long term nature of the Fund has enabled the pursuit of added value through development and strategic land holdings.
The Fund is managed by a collection of sector specialists who concentrate on adding value through their particular expertise.
