Warrington Retail Limited Partnership (WRLP) is a joint venture between Legal & General, Lend Lease and a client of Goodman Property. The aim of the Fund was to develop the extension to the Golden Square Shopping Centre, Warrington. Lendlease undertook the development management role for WRLP.

The development has doubled the size of the centre, adding an additional 365,000 square feet of space, including 60 new shops and a flagship Debenhams - Warrington's first full-line department store. Modern, large-size units have been created to attract the best retailers, with an emphasis on making Golden Square a fashion-led retail destination for residents of the affluent Cheshire catchment area and for the North West as a whole.

The scheme opened in May 2007 and includes:
  • Debenhams, H+M, Zara,Top Shop, Republic, Bank, Next, Monsoon, River Island, Oasis, Jane Norman and New Look
  • An enhanced catering offer with three family restaurants overlooking the historic Victorian-era Market Square
  • Parking for 1700 cars
  • A new bus interchange which opened in August 2006

Throughout the development there was an emphasis on community consultation, and ensuring that the new Golden Square benefits the local community in a variety of ways. The development brought over 1,200 new jobs to the region, both in construction and in retail. A successful collaboration with the Maximising Opportunity in Warrington Partnership has created training schemes for construction and retail workers, giving employers access to a pool of potential recruits, and helping more than 250 local unemployed people gain life-long skills and qualifications.
