UK real estate review:recession, recovery, renewal

As 2023 unfolds there remain several plausible outcomes for the performance of UK real estate. In our view, the repricing seen over 2022 positions the sector relatively favourably.


Events in the banking sector have shown us how febrile financial markets can be. In real estate, ascertaining where gilt yields will settle, when inflation will peak and how recession and geopolitical risks will pan out, are all part of the investor conundrum. However, we believe there are certain themes around which our long-term conviction is strong or growing.
